The Ballantine family created LAMB Contracting with their combined experience. Abby spent her earlier years in the Navy as a Structural Mechanic for F35cs and EA18gs (see photo to right). Through this time she gained immense experience in management, safety, team work, project planning and more. After the military she studied at the University of Washington and received a Bachelor's in Communications. While she was in the military, Lance and Mark were hard at work in different construction fields.
Lance was working in tenant improvement throughout Seattle for local real estate teams. During this time, he was studying at Bellevue University for Business. Business for him started to pick up in 2019 and he brought up an idea to the family.
The timing seemed perfect, Abby was in school and had the experience, Lance had many connections and leads for the growing work so they came together to create LAMB Contracting. While starting the first month or so, their father, Mark, retired from Lease Crutcher Lewis. They jumped at the opportunity to rope him and his experience in. Little did they know that only a few months after the start of the company that the whole world was in for a rude awakening.
Thankfully it gave LAMB a chance to come together and set itself up for the coming years.
In 2022 LAMB Contracting went union and fully commercial and state contracting. It allowed the company to enter a great market while giving workers the best opportunity for a great benefits package through the union. Through this time LAMB has made some great connections and it is through those connections and the team's hard work that we have grown into what we are today. To many years to come.
